# Book Summaries to Action Plans

You can find a summary of almost any popular nonfiction book in 30 seconds. The internet is drowning in them. So why does reading summaries rarely change behavior?

Because summaries tell you what the AUTHOR thinks is important. An implementation plan focuses on what is important FOR YOU.

Beyond the Generic Summary

Instead of "summarize this book," try:

I just read "Atomic Habits" by James Clear. I do not need a generic
summary — I need to apply it to my life.
