# AI for Podcast Production & Editing

Post-production is where most solo podcasters and small teams burn out. Editing audio, writing show notes, creating timestamps, and generating social clips can take three to four times longer than the actual recording. AI dramatically compresses this work.

Transcript-Based Editing

The most efficient editing workflow starts with transcription:

Here is the transcript of my podcast recording: [TRANSCRIPT]
Episode target length: [MINUTES] (currently [ACTUAL LENGTH])

Suggest an editing plan:
1. MANDATORY CUTS: Sections that should definitely be removed (long tangents, repeated points, technical issues, off-topic conversation)
2. OPTIONAL CUTS: Sections that could be removed if we need to hit the time target, but have some value
3. REORDER SUGGESTIONS: Would the episode be stronger with any sections rearranged?
4. HIGHLIGHT MOMENTS: The 5 best moments that should definitely stay
5. COLD OPEN CANDIDATE: The single best 30-60 second clip for the episode opening

For each cut, provide the timestamp range and reason.
