# AI Decision-Making Frameworks
We make about 35,000 decisions per day, mostly on autopilot. The ones that keep you up at night — career changes, relocations, relationship decisions, major purchases — deserve structured thinking. AI is an excellent thinking partner for these moments.
Jeff Bezos used this to decide whether to leave Wall Street and start Amazon. It is powerful for irreversible or hard-to-reverse decisions:
I am facing a major decision and want to use the regret minimization
framework. Here is my situation:
DECISION: Should I leave my stable corporate job to start a business?
Walk me through these questions:
1. If I take this path and it fails, will I regret TRYING in 10 years?
2. If I do NOT take this path, will I regret NOT TRYING in 10 years?
3. What is the worst realistic outcome if it fails? (Not worst
imaginable — worst realistic.)
4. Can I recover from the worst realistic outcome? How long?
5. What would I need to see in 6 months to know this was the right
call?
6. What would I need to see in 6 months to know I should reverse
course?
Be honest and push back if my thinking seems biased in either
direction. I want clarity, not encouragement.Upgrade to Pro to access the full content
