# Writing Property Listings That Sell
A property listing has about three seconds to stop a buyer from scrolling. In those three seconds, the headline and opening line either create an emotional connection or get lost in the thousands of other listings competing for attention. AI can help you write listings that stop the scroll — but only if you go beyond "write a listing for a 3-bed, 2-bath house."
This lesson teaches you how to prompt AI for listings that sound like a skilled copywriter wrote them, not a template engine.
The Anatomy of a High-Converting Listing
Top-performing listings share four elements:
- 1.A headline that creates curiosity or emotion — Not "Beautiful 3BR/2BA Home" (every listing says that). Instead: "Morning Coffee on a Wraparound Porch with Mountain Views."
- 2.An opening line that sets a scene — Buyers decide emotionally first, then justify logically. Start with experience, not specs.
- 3.Specific details that paint a picture — "Chef's kitchen" is generic. "42-inch soft-close cabinets, quartz waterfall island, and a six-burner Viking range" is specific.
- 4.A closing that creates urgency or next-step clarity — What should the buyer do now, and why should they do it today?
